It is a mutation of the golden pheasant. Resistant to cold climates. It is polygamous and tolerant.
The adult male differs from the luteus because his chest instead of the lemon yellow tint offers a decidedly salmoned color. The median wheelhouses are not marbled as in the pictus, but scratched transversely as in the obscurus.
The female has the breast and belly decidedly darker than the luteus and the middle wheelhouses offer more analogous designs to the obscurus, so that a selection is possible that can lead to a greater differentiation even between males. "
It feeds on seeds, sprouts, fruits and vegetables. It must be complemented with a good feed for pheasants.
It reproduces pretty well. They are usually good incubators.
The sunsets can reach between 12 and 18 eggs.
