Silky Japan are excellent mothers who incubate without any problem and given their coat have enough capacity to cover eggs, by themselves are able to perfectly cover more than ten eggs.

Its eggs of 35 g. minimum, with the light brown shell. Hens weigh about 1 kg and roosters weigh 1 1/4 kg. Their appearance is like "hairy" because they are covered by feathers with almost no rib. The diameter of the rings (in mm.): Rooster 16 - Hen 14.
