Main features:

• Large parakeet (32-35.5 cm) with a short tail.

• Gray bill and legs, amber eyes, light gray eyering.

• Bright green plumage with red lores and forehead, blue forecrown, yellow cheeks, blue primaries and secondaries at tip with red patch on outer secondaries

Reprduction:

• They usually nest in tree cavities, laying three to four white eggs.

• Incubation varies from 25 to 26 days.

Feeding:

• Variety feeding

• Fruits, nuts and seeds.

Distribution:

• America, Brazil Confluence of the Rio Negro and the Amazon, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, high and medium forests
